IFS
Internal Family Systems, or IFS, is a therapeutic approach that understands every person as having different “parts” within them — protective parts, wounded parts, reactive parts, and deeply wise parts. It’s not about having multiple personalities; it’s more like the familiar image of having an angel on one shoulder and a devil on the other. We all have inner voices, inner reactions, and inner roles that show up depending on what we’ve lived through.
IFS teaches that this inner multiplicity is completely normal and healthy. Just like members of a family, our parts often take on roles meant to protect us — even if those roles become automatic or outdated over time. Some parts may try to keep us safe by avoiding pain, while others may carry old hurts or beliefs. Even when these parts feel overwhelming, they each have value and a purpose.
The heart of IFS is helping people reconnect with their core Self — the calm, compassionate, grounded part of us that isn’t damaged by life’s experiences. From that place of inner leadership, people can understand their parts with curiosity instead of judgment, helping those parts release old burdens and take on healthier roles.
IFS creates space for healing from the inside out,
Bible Based
Bible‑Based Counseling is provided by a licensed professional counselor who integrates Scripture with sound therapeutic practices. These counselors have additional training in how to weave biblical wisdom into the healing process while still using evidence‑informed techniques that support emotional and relational well‑being.
This approach is rooted in the belief that the Bible offers guidance, comfort, and practical insight for many of the struggles people face — whether emotional, psychological, or relational. In sessions, Scripture is not used as a quick fix or a lecture, but as a source of encouragement, truth, and grounding. The goal is to help individuals explore how biblical principles can bring clarity, hope, and direction in the areas where they feel stuck or overwhelmed.
Bible‑Based Counseling invites people to connect their faith with their healing journey. It supports clients in applying biblical truths to real‑life challenges, while also honoring their personal experiences, emotions, and growth process. The aim is to help individuals find healing, strength, and transformation through both professional counseling and the spiritual resources of their faith.
Solution Focused
Solution‑Focused Therapy is a short‑term, goal‑oriented approach that helps people identify what’s working in their lives and build on those strengths. Instead of spending a lot of time analyzing problems or digging into the past, this method focuses on the future — what you want your life to look like and the small steps that can help you get there.
In this approach, you and your counselor work together to clarify your goals, highlight the progress you’ve already made, and explore practical strategies that move you closer to the changes you want. The emphasis is on possibilities, resources, and hope, rather than on what’s going wrong.
Solution‑Focused Therapy is designed to help people create meaningful change in a relatively short amount of time, making it a helpful option for those who want a clear, structured, and empowering path forward.
